How it Works

Glass100 supplies and installs SureFlap electronic pet doors for cats and small dogs. These high quality pet doors are programmable for up to 32 pets with the pet access controlled via the pet’s existing microchip or an RFID tag attached to a collar. SureFlap microchip cat & dog doors are thicker than standard pet doors installed into glass panes and as such are only suitable for installation into fixed panes of glass that do not have another pane of glass slide past the pet door.

Product Details

Glass100 stocks the SureFlap range of electronic, microchip activated, selective entry pet doors specifically designed for installation into single glass panes and double glazed units. These microchip activated pet doors are suitable for most cats and miniature to small dogs. The thickness of the pet door unit makes them suitable for glass hinged or pivot doors and fixed panes of glass that do not have another pane slide past. The pet doors can be upgraded with a wifi hub for remote monitoring or upgraded to include selective exit and can be programmed to recognise 32 different microchips. The location of the pet door needs to be sheltered from rain and extreme heat.

​​Frequently Asked Questions

I already have toughened glass, why don’t you just cut a hole in it for me?

If you attempt to cut glass once it has been subject to the toughening process, the glass will shatter. (In industry talk, the ultimate limit state, ULS, is exceeded). Thus, the glass needs to be cut to the right size and have the hole cut into it prior to instigating the toughening process.

How do I know which microchip pet door is the right size?

The simplest way to test which door is the right size for your pet is to template the dimensions of the pet door flap onto a cardboard box, then cut a hole in the cardboard box the same size as the pet flap. Once the hole the same size as the pet flap has been created, gently place your pet into the cardboard box and see if it can fit through the opening to exit the box. The microchip pet flap sizes are as follows : Cat Door Flap 120mm tall by 142mm wide; Pet Door Flap 170mm tall by 178mm wide.

When will my new pet door be ready?

Standard working time from measure to installation is 4 to 8 working days.*Subject to seasonal and supply chain variations.

What warranty does Glass100 provide on Microchip Pet Doors?
Glass100 pet doors that are installed into stationary panes of glass, receive a 12 month replacement warranty against faulty workmanship. 

Warranty excludes inappropriate use and malicious damage.
Can my small dog use a microchip pet door?
Possibly. It depends on the size of your dog and how active they are. Dogs with more upright necks, such as dachshunds, tend to require a taller door than a microchip activated pet door.

Some tiny dogs can indeed use microchip activated pet doors, but please make sure to measure your pet before assuming they will fit through the door. As cats are generally, but not always, less boisterous than dogs the design of cat doors is primarily around a light door for ease of use whereas dog doors have more robust design considerations.
Do you sell microchip activated pet doors?
Yes. 

Glass100 supplies and installs microchip activated pet doors suitable for cats and small dogs.
Do you sell microchip activated dog doors for large dogs?
Not currently.

Although Glass100 has trialed many different microchip activated dog doors for large dogs we are yet to find a design that is both functional and robust enough for ongoing use by large dogs in our hot Australian climate. 
How do I know if my cat needs a cat door?

If your cat is allowed to be in an area outside of your house unsupervised then your cat needs a cat door. Simple.

Do I need to pay a deposit on my microchip activated pet door?
Yes. 

For your pet door to be put into production a deposit of 50% is required with the balance being due on installation.
