Glass100 supplies and installs pet doors into custom cut panels of toughened safety glass. Our pet doors are specifically designed for installation into glass panels and are made from durable, high quality clear plastic. In addition to our standard range of dog and cat doors, Glass 100 now stocks a range of doors suitable for large breeds.
For the safety, as well as the security, of both the pet and the house occupants, we apply industry best standard for the manufacture and installation of dog doors, cat doors and cat flaps, with all installations compliant with the requirements of Australian Standard AS1288.
Glass100 pet door installations utilise toughened safety glass. The glass is toughened by heated it to above 600 °C and then rapidly cooled with air. The glass cannot be cut once it has been transformed into toughened safety glass, and there for the hole required for the installation of the pet door needs to be cut into the glass prior to the glass going through the toughening process. This means existing toughened glass panels, such as laundry doors, cannot have the pet door hole cut into them and require replacing. Toughened glass is used when strength, heat resistance and safety are important considerations. Glass100 use toughened glass in pet doors because of it’s additional strength and durability in addition to it’s unique characteristic of shattering into small cubes rather than sharp edged shards if broken. This not only protects your pet, but also small inquisitive children.
Different shapes and Sizes
Like humans, cats and dogs come in all different shapes and sizes. We can supply and fit pet doors to in various shapes and sizes to suit not only your pet but also the shape and dimension of the preferred entry/exit point for your furry friend.
